Wound Providers of America Wound Care

WOUND CARE

Types of Wounds Treated

Our medical providers develop care plans in conjunction with partner facility staff and treat a broad range of wounds including:

  • Pressure ulcers

  • Diabetic/neuropathic wounds

  • Venous ulcers and arterial wounds

  • Wounds that are not healing

  • Post-surgical wounds

  • Wounds that are causing pain

  • Amputations

Treatment and Prevention

Our medical providers, each with extensive experience and training, round weekly with partner facility staff implementing treatment plans to improve wound healing rates.

Our medical providers provide consultation to facility staff on prevention of wounds, pressure-relieving devices, and properly selecting and applying wound dressings including negative pressure and wound vac therapies.

For wounds that contain non-living (necrotic) tissue, our medical providers will debride tissue from the wound to speed the healing process.  Such procedures can be performed safely and comfortably at the patient’s bedside in lieu of transporting the patient to a hospital wound clinic.

In certain situations with non-healing wounds, our medical providers may recommend and use biologic skin grafts, which are reimbursable by Medicare and are not an added cost to the facility.

Telehealth

Our state-of-the-art and HIPAA-compliant technology allows our medical providers to conduct telehealth consultations for situations when the provider cannot be at the bedside.

Wound Providers of America Foot Care

FOOT CARE

As the foot is often the first area to show signs of serious conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, we will diagnose and treat all foot problems with a focus on prevention of wounds.

Our medical providers will diagnose the feet with an initial comprehensive examination and then treat acute and chronic foot disorders resulting from injury, disease, and age.

Types of Foot Disorders Treated

  • Nails and calluses

  • Ingrown nails

  • Corns and bunions

  • Foot pain

  • Infections

  • Foot problems associated with diabetes and other diseases, including vascular disease

  • Arch problems

  • Other dermatologic problems of the feet
